The book was definitely captivating, I could relate to Juan wanting to come to the US and become someone better then what he was in Cuba. I could relate because Juan passed several difficulties to achieve his dream, and I believe most people that come to e US face some kind of trouble.

The novel was a bit dramatic but enough to maintain you wanting to keep reading, which I think was a great strategy from the author.
